What is hemorrhoid banding?

-Hemorrhoid banding, or rubber band ligation, is a fast and non-surgical approach to symptomatic hemorrhoids thats performed in our office and used to treated internal hemorrhoids. Its done by tying off the base of the hemorrhoid with a rubber band cutting off its blood supply. The hemorrhoid will then shrink and die, falling off in about 2-10 days.

What are the benefits of band ligation?

-Unlike hemorrhoidectomy, it doesn’t require fasting, sedation or post-procedure care. And unlike home remedies that provide temporary relief, it completely removes hemorrhoid symptoms. Its simple, effective and yields good long-term results.
